9. september 05: Here are news from the vineyards of Castello Vicchiomaggio Greve in Chianti & Tenuta Vallemaggiore, Rispescia the Maremma Coast: 2005 Harvest, not quite there yet...

Since my last update the last ten days of August have been cooler than average (min. 18° C = Fahrenheit 64,40 – max 26°C = Fahrenheit 78,80) and there have been some light rain shower. Nothing to worry about and, fortunately, no heal no violent storms.

A part from this brief interlude conditions have been excellent and we will probably commence harvesting on the following dates. :

Vallemaggiore: from Monday 12th of September

Castello Vicchiomaggio: Merlot, Canaiolo, Colorino from Monday 19th September

Cabernet – Sangiovese from Monday 26th September
